Consequence is what gives meaning to human life. The value of our lives is ultimately measured by the influence we have had and the significance of the consequences that we leave behind.

These are the questions that are driving Patricia Albere and I to offer a five-week virtual intensive called Illuminating the web of Influence.

Most of us, at times, live our lives in a state of assumed preparation as if we are on the sidelines practicing for the game and planning our inevitable entrance. You can’t influence the outcome of the game from the sidelines. And life doesn’t really have sidelines anyway… and no time out either. We are all here, in the middle of it, and we are already having an influence – imaging that you are inconsequential sideliner preparing for the game has big consequences for all of us.

What Does Illuminating The Web of Influence Mean?

Have you ever noticed that who you are depends upon who you are with?
Think about it. Aren’t you different around different people?

Notice ways in which you act differently, feel differently and think differently in your various relationships. It’s a fascinating occurrence that illustrates that we are not just individuals, we are social beings. Our independent and autonomous existence is always embedded within a web of influence that connects every aspect of who we are to those around us.

This web of influence that surrounds us is a massive and complex weave of ideas, images, actions and desires. It is closer to us than the air we breathe. It is us, in many ways. When we recognize the profound depths of mutual influence that exist between us we also begin to see profound new possibilities for human development—collective human development– that we refer to as The Evolutionary Collective.

Manifesting these possibilities is at the core of this Virtual Intensive where, together, we will be exploring our role in the web of influence and discovering through active, experiential engagement how we can have the most positive evolutionary influence on each other.

It is time to move beyond the lone struggle for growth and to become social – inter-subjective – architects, working together to build a web of influence that will serve the growth of everyone involved and extend powerfully into the world.

Over the past few decades many of us have done significant work on ourselves. We have participated in seminars, workshops, learned various practices and explored diverse modalities toward greater consciousness, health and healing. We have gained insight, understanding and even had breakthrough experiences. And what many of us have concluded is that we want all of our personal efforts to result in our having a positive impact on the world. Participating in Illuminating the Web of Influence is an opportunity to explore exactly that– how each of us can have a greater impact on each other and on the world itself.

What Is The Evolutionary Collective?

The Evolutionary Collective (EC) is an incubator, an evolving container for shared consciousness and mutual development founded five years ago by Patricia Albere. The first ongoing EC is in its fourth year. In this new, shared consciousness of the Evolutionary Collective we discover new ways of being and relating together. And as we become aware of the subtle and profound ways that we are constantly affecting and influencing each other we learn how to act and interact with profound honesty, intention and integrity. In this way our relationships catalyze and sustain individual and collective growth and give rise to new forms of creativity and manifestation in the world.

Now, in collaborative partnership with Jeff Carreira, this forum is evolving into its next iteration, beginning with this Intensive. By participating in this Virtual Intensive, you will learn new ways of understanding the world, develop new tools for relating to others and ways of having greater influence in the world. In addition, this Intensive will give you an initial firsthand experience of The Evolutionary Collective.

During the Virtual Intensive we will work with principles and practices that Jeff and Patricia have mastered after many years of working in collective environments. We will explore what intentionality, commitment, responsibility and mutuality mean in this new way of being. And you will have the opportunity to work together to immediately experience your own mastery of these transformed ways of relating.

Illuminating the Web of Influence is not a seminar, workshop or course.

Those forums are designed so that experts can share their insight and understanding with participants. This virtual gathering uses the methods and structure of the Evolutionary Collective. In this forum Patricia and Jeff will use their expertise to guide you in a process of mutual emergence in which understanding and insight will be generated and developed through our interactions together.

This gathering is part of the ongoing, in depth work Patricia and Jeff are developing. In January, 2012, there will be a live 4 day intensive and then an opportunity to engage in a committed full year of working together to generate, cultivate and strengthen a field of mutual influence that will foster profound growth and development. The modalities for the shared year-long experience include both live and virtual forums. We will be sharing more about the creation of a new EC during the Intensive.

A Unique Collaboration of Change Leaders

At age 18, Patricia Albere took the first significant step into what would become a lifelong inquiry into the infinite possibilities of human growth and development, spirituality and the development of what she has coined, the Evolutionary Collective. At 18 she was on the leading edge of transformation, participating in the first-ever “est” training and her life radically transformed. She soon became one of the original core members of Werner Erhard’s “est” organization (currently called Landmark Education) and continued working with Erhard for 12 years. Following these early years her commitment to understanding what’s possible in the evolution of humanity kept her pursuing the edge where the newest discoveries, innovations and possibilities for both personal and collective transformation could be found. She has worked with over 150,000 people in the last 40 years, particularly in long term, focused group work with highly committed individuals. Now 25 years later she is the founder of the Evolutionary Collective Institute and Evolutionary Collective Conversations – a bi-monthly international webcast featuring thought leaders, visionaries and evolutionary spiritual teachers. Through all those years Patricia has explored and taught many of the most cutting edge human transformation technologies and has a wide range of experience she brings to The Evolutionary Collective.

Jeff Carreira is currently the Director of Education at EnlightenNext where he coordinates and guides the ongoing development of a worldwide network of individuals who are committed to individual and collective evolution. He has spent the past two decades helping to build and guide a global movement of evolving individuals. He works closely with spiritual teacher and founder of EnlightenNext, Andrew
Cohen and has learned to embody and communicate the principles and practices of Evolutionary Enlightenment. As Director of Education, Jeff oversees and creates programs and events that inspire Evolutionaries around the world. He has been responsible for designing and teaching courses and training others to teach Evolutionary Enlightenment as well. He has helped build a thriving global membership program by tapping the educational and communications potential of online and telecommunications technologies. In recent years, he has developed an interest in the philosophical roots of Evolutionary Enlightenment, and in particular the work of the American transcendentalists and pragmatists, and has given talks on this subject in academic settings throughout the US and in Australia. His ongoing philosophical inquires can be found in his blog called Evolutionary Philosophy.

Together for the first time, these two pioneers are offering their mutual strengths, gifts and skills in both individual transformation and collective growth and development. Their intention is to create a powerful field of shared consciousness that will reveal potentials for human development that can take us far beyond the limits of personal growth.

Details about this Extended Virtual Gathering

In each of the five sessions you will be instructed through a process of mutual discovery with Patricia and Jeff. Content will include a series of exercises and discussions in both large and small groups utilizing various modalities designed to open up an intensive field of relatedness.

The work is all done virtually via virtual seminar. Once you register you will receive a dial-in number and PIN code that will give you access to the day-long virtual gathering and each of the four weekly seminars to follow.

Once you register more detailed suggestions for how to optimize your experience of the gathering will be sent to you.

We encourage, whenever possible, that people gather together locally to participate in groups. For those of you wishing to participate in a local group setting, you will have the opportunity to do some of the exercises together as part of the smaller group exercises.
